Airport Transportation
Please note, SABCS does not provide transportation from the airport to the meeting. However, there are a number of hotels both surrounding San Antonio International Airport and in the downtown area that provide free shuttle service to and from the airport. Hotel shuttles are located outside the SAT’s baggage claim area for your convenience. Please contact your hotel of choice to inquire whether they offer courtesy shuttle service.
A hotel kiosk with courtesy phone is available in the baggage claim area for passengers to call their hotel for specific arrival or departure times for the shuttle service. We recommend advance confirmation of this service with the hotel of choice.
San Antonio International Airport is located 8.6 miles from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Many companies provide taxicab service at San Antonio International Airport. If you need a taxi, simply follow the signs leading to outer commercial curbside at Terminal A. Taxi fare is approximately $29.00. Additional information on taxi service is available through the San Antonio International Airport website.
VIA Metropolitan Transit is San Antonio’s public transportation agency offering service throughout the city including service within the downtown area. To get downtown from the Airport go to the Lower Roadway (Arrivals/Baggage Level in Terminal A and B), across the marked crosswalk to the outer curb. VIA’s bus stop will be located on the far West end of Terminal B, clearly marked on the column. You will board the VIA bus route 5, which operates every day. Symposium Hotel Shuttle
Shuttle buses, supported by Lilly, will operate December 5 through December 9 between official symposium hotels and the convention center at no charge.
- Buses will drop off and pick up at the Market Street Entrance of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
- Buses will only stop at the official symposium hotels.
- A wheelchair accessible bus will be available during the listed days and times.
- SABCS does not provide transportation from the airport to hotels

Child Care
For the first time, child care will be available during the Symposium for children ages 6 months to 12 years in Room 301BC of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Symposium is pleased to partner with KiddieCorp to provide a children’s program during the 2023 SABCS. KiddieCorp is in its thirty-eighth year of providing high-quality children’s programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows, and special events. Parents and caregivers can learn more about child care services and register
online in advance. The deadline for advance registration for child care is November 7, 2023. Walk-in registration also will be available at the convention center based on space availability. The symposium is subsidizing 50% the rate to limit the cost to attendees. The subsidized child care service rate is $10 per hour per child for registrants.

Nursing Mothers Suites
Nursing mothers will also have dedicated space. Two private rooms will be available with one on the lobby level between Halls 3 and 4 and one private room on the second level. Rooms will be equipped with comfortable furniture and a table, power outlets, wastebaskets, and paper towels. Restrooms are located nearby. Staff members will be on hand to monitor and refresh the rooms throughout the day.

- West Wing – Room 2137 (next to Room 215 in Parkview)
