Committee reviewing more than 1,600 abstracts

SABCS2021_SM_1595

The programming committee for the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium has 1,667 abstracts to review this year.

More than 600 universities, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and national cancer centers from around the world have submitted 1,667 abstracts for consideration for the 45th annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

A global programming committee of 90 will review each of those abstracts. The goal is to narrow the submissions so attendees will have access to the most balanced selection of clinical, translational, and basic research to those with a special interest in breast cancer.

Tumor cell and molecular biology was the leading topic with more than 300 submissions, followed by biomarkers predicting treatment response with 201 submissions, and epidemiology, risk and prevention with 177 submissions.

The abstract submission site will open Sept. 1 for late-breaking research and closes Sept. 30.

Registration for in-person or virtual attendance to #SABCS22 is open. Those who register and pay by Oct. 31 will receive a discount. Hotel information is here. People can register for the symposium here. Reserve your room at one of the official 2022 SABCS hotels while discounted hotel rooms are available. All housing reservations must be completed before Nov. 15 to receive discounted hotel rates, so don’t delay!
