The window is open for accepting abstracts for the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and planners expect more submissions for the 45th annual event.

There were more than 1,700 abstracts submitted for #SABCS21, but Director of Symposia Sharon Hill expects they will have more to review this year.

“COVID put some research on hold and travel restrictions kept some people from submitting,” Hill said. “We expect to see a lot more submissions as those restrictions continue to ease.”

Potential presenters have more than 100 subjects to choose from for their submissions. Categories include detection and diagnosis; treatment; radiation and surgical oncology; translational research; clinical trials; tumor cell and molecular biology; prognosis and predictive factors; pathology; epidemiology, risk and prevention; and more.

Scholarships and awards are also decided from the abstracts, so submissions are required for consideration. In-person poster sessions will also be returning to #SABCS22.

More than 90 abstract reviewers from around the world will appraise what could be close to 2,000 abstract submissions. The approved abstracts will provide content for the leading scientific conference in the ongoing fight against breast cancer and premalignant breast disease.

Abstracts must be written in English and submitted at this link. There is no limit to the number of abstracts submitted. There is no limit to the number of authors listed on an abstract.
