The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium is launching a digital news site to report developments before, during and after the 43rd annual symposium Dec. 8-11. A team of dedicated scientific and medical writers from TriStar Event Media will cover each session and publish articles daily.

“The digital space is where everyone is looking,” TriStar Business Development Director Jill Hall said. “Digital assets have become very important with the pandemic.”

TriStar has been creating content for medical and non-medical association trade shows for nearly 19 years. This is its first year working with SABCS.

“We’re providing a new resource for meeting participants and people interested in SABCS-related content,” Editor John Austin said. “This is real news provided in real time.”

The daily newsletter that was published for previous symposia is impossible with the virtual format of #SABCS20. “It’s important to give attendees access to the valuable information that comes out of the symposium every year,” Symposia Director Sharon Hill said. “TriStar will make sure that happens in a way that makes it accessible to people attending from wherever they may be.”

Registered attendees will also get a number of email alerts before, during and after the symposium with the latest news and links to each day’s highlights.

The new site is live and can be found at SABCSMeetingNews.org. Along with news it will have vendor content, the live @SABCSSanAntonio Twitter feed, and links to SABCS.org and the symposium’s social media channels.

  • pls can you give a statemtent to comment: ..." SABCS on demand: Recordings of all oral presentation for which the authors have given permission will be posted approx 2 days following the symposium" ... as we here in Europe - due to time lag - are only possible to wait for 2,5 days or longer to watch the presentation? As we had to get "off Work" for the congress (Dec 7-12) it is difficult to watch the presentations after the congress time. Are all presentations are live streams (without any time lack) and are these materials avail for downloads after congress for those who have a valid registration?

    • @monika.palme@pfizer.com: The on-demand sessions are slated to be available for all registered attendants for 90 days after they are posted on 9 December at 8 a.m. CST (GMT-6). Hopefully that helps.
