The latest updates on advances in translational research will be presented during a dozen educational sessions slated for the first full day of the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium^® (SABCS^®) Dec. 4-8.

Beginning at 2 p.m. Dec. 4, attendees can hear presentations on a number of topics including HER2, metastasis biology, metabolic reprogramming, and recurrence in ER positive breast cancer.

“These educational sessions are extremely important,” said SABCS Co-Director, Virginia Kaklamani, MD, professor of medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, UT Health San Antonio. “They’re great reviews on important topics that basic researchers struggle with each day.”

Kaklamani is presenting a session updating information on treatment of triple negative breast cancer.

The sessions provide attendees with a better understanding of the background leading up to the talks being presented in the succeeding days. They should also provide researchers with ideas and techniques to be considered for their own studies.

The education sessions start at 2 p.m. and run concurrently through 7 p.m. in the Stars at Night Ballrooms and Hemisfair Ballroom, third level. Details, times and topics can be found on the SABCS program.
