The deadline has been extended by two weeks for nominations for the 2020 William L. McGuire Award and Lectureship. The award will be presented at the 43rd annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium® Dec. 8-12. The McGuire Award was established in 1992 to honor William L. McGuire, MD, who co-founded SABCS in 1977 along with Charles A. Coltman, MD.
This award recognizes extraordinary investigators for their sustained achievements in translational and/or clinical research. Recipients are chosen because their work has had a positive impact on the understanding of the development of breast cancer and the outcome of treatment of breast cancer patients.

Nominators must provide a letter describing why their candidate is being nominated along with the nominee’s curriculum vitae. All nominations must be submitted electronically to sabcs@uthscsa.edu. Include McGuire Award Nomination in the subject line. The NEW deadline for the 2020 nominations is 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday, April 20. The winner will be announced in May. Past recipients are not eligible.
