Spirited discussions about the application of the scientific findings, unveiled during the December SABCS, have been popular at the Official Best of SABCS® events held across the United States at the start of the new year.
More than 700 specialists have attended events in New York City, Houston, Northern California, Chicago, Miami, and Atlanta. An initiative of Encore Medical Education, each meeting presented the most impactful science and education from the annual five-day symposium in December. The meetings are one day and held in conjunction with local oncology associations and societies.
Best of SABCS meetings provided the opportunity for attendees to discuss changes in clinical care to improve patient outcomes.
“Attendees were able to ask questions about the new findings relevant to treatment plans,” said Fran Grega, president of Encore Medical Education. “The goal is to acquire knowledge that can be applied Monday morning.”
Best-of SABCS events partner with the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Office of Continuing Medical Education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to offer continuing medical education (CME) credit to attendees.
SABCS takes great pride in sharing the information presented each year and making it accessible to those who are working tirelessly to prevent, diagnose, and treat breast cancer. In addition to collaborating with Encore Medical Education to present the Best of SABCS series, SABCS provides free access to all shared information and educational resources from the Symposium on its website for those unable to attend the December SABCS.
