Support & Exhibits

Notice of Intent to Support/Exhibit Applications are due September 3, 2019

Dear Supporters and Friends:

The 2019 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) will take place December 10 – 14 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

For forty-two years, the Symposium has worked to provide state-of-the-art information on developments in breast cancer, aiming to achieve a balance among clinical, translational, and basic research. From a one-day regional conference, it has grown to a five-day program attended by a large international audience of academic and private researchers and physicians from over 80 countries.

The Symposium provides a forum for interaction, communication, and education for a broad spectrum of researchers, health professionals, and others with a special interest in breast cancer.  SABCS attracts thought-leaders, academic and private physicians and researchers, as well as other health care professionals focused on curing breast cancer, to discuss and learn about new and late-breaking research including experimental biology, etiology, prevention, diagnosis, and therapy of breast cancer and pre-malignant breast disease, as well as new findings from clinical trials. The Symposium also attracts young investigators by providing superior education and training opportunities for the next generation of breast cancer researchers.

Patient benefit is the ultimate outcome and through this Symposium and its post-symposium resources, such as the SABCS On Demand, your support has helped professionals from all over the world come together for an important exchange of information. Your support has also enabled us to disseminate that information worldwide. Those of you who have worked with us through the years are a positive force in the progress of breast cancer research and treatment. For all of this we are deeply and sincerely grateful.

New sponsorships have been added and established ones changed in order to provide a broad range of opportunities.  We hope that, whether you are a past supporter or new to SABCS, you will find a level of participation that is comfortable for you and of mutual benefit to us all. If you are considering supporting SABCS, then we hope that you will find that the options offered in this prospectus meet your needs.

You are invited to contact the symposium office at sabcs@uthscsa.edu or 210-450-1550 regarding any questions.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Sincerely

Advocate Program

The 22nd Annual Advocate Program is sponsored by Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), a non-profit 501[c]3 organization. This San Antonio-based grassroots advocacy, educational, and support organization was established for women and men with breast cancer and for those concerned about breast cancer issues. ABCF is active locally and nationally (as members of the National Breast Cancer Coalition) in their goal to eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime.

The 1st Annual Advocate Program was held in 1998, in conjunction with the 21st Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, as an educational program specially designed to address the needs of patient advocates and those who support them. The program for 2018 will include Orientation, Dinner, Mentors Program, two Educational programs and Breast Cancer Update for the grant recipients. 30-40 travel grants are expected to be available for 2018, pending receipt of sufficient grant funds.

The administration of this program is handled entirely by Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation. Their 2019 proposal will be mailed to a select list, and we hope you will support their program in addition to the 2019 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.
